Sam STP Review – NYTC.

So I have had the Sam STP from the New York Toy Collective for a little under a month now, and feel as though I have spent enough time using and wearing it to be able to produce an accurate review. This is not a paid review, and I am not affiliated with any companies mentioned in any way.

Overview of Sam STP.

General Overview:
I purchase the packer in the “Caramel” color after reading recommendations that the lightest shade is not particularly skin-tone friendly despite me being of fair complexion. I’m really happy I didn’t go with the lighter shade, as this color works well for me.
I was most concerned about the packing aspect, as I prefer to pack ‘down’ and you simply cannot pack this way with the Sam. I can happily announce that although it took a little getting used to, packing ‘up’ now feels normal and doesn’t create an obscene bulge, even in tight pants.

Aesthetic/Packing:
As mentioned previously, I was most concerned about the packing ability when purchasing this product. It arrived in a near little ziploc bag with NYTC logo on it, after I’d opened a non-descript brown box.
Initial thoughts have held true: this is a fairly realistic packer for the price in terms of looks. It has nicely detailed balls, and the shaft – although much girthier than any of my previous packers, is also well detailed and sculpted.
The balls seem like two rubber bounce balls; they have no give and feel odd with a squeeze test and in pants. This however, is due to the receptacle design for STP use. I have been packing in tighter-fitting brief style underwear with no problems. I do not use a harness.

STP/Peeing:
The moment you’ve all been waiting for! I have a rather firm grasp on where my urethra is located, and have literally never met an STP I could not pee through after some getting used to. The Sam STP is no exception and I didn’t even bother taking off my pants as a precaution prior to using it for the first time. Success! The receptacle is wide, the firm balls allow for single-handed use and support with ease and the length of the shaft is great.
I find this STP as opposed to others particularly good when using through the fly of pants. Something I had difficulty with other types of packers.

Total Score: I’d give the Sam STP packer a solid 8/10 – the price point and functionality are fantastic, especially for the high quality silicone you receive. Packing might be an issue if you don’t like to pack ‘up’ but it sits well in briefs when packing this way, and does not cause discomfort for me.

If I put up a packer review with accompanying photos, will it be allowed under Tumblrs new strict no-porn guidelines?

I don’t want to waste my time writing an in-depth review for nothing.

Just ordered an STP for the first time in years.

If it doesn’t pack right I’m going to be pissed off. Got a Sam STP from New York Toy Collective because if it doesn’t sit well with me I won’t have wasted as much money as I potentially could have.

Having to buy a new prosthesis has really made me quite irritated.

I don’t want to have to spend the money, especially on something that I should have been fucking born with in the first place.

Not to mention the high likelihood of it being “not right” in a plethora of different ways.
The whole excercise has had me avoiding making a purchase for months, but now it’s kind of getting absolutely necessary and I can’t put it off much longer.

Boo.

I haven’t had a new prosthesis for the longest time, but I’ve had the best luck with Peecock’s (and still use one daily, but it’s…erm… falling apart).

Can anyone give me a review of the more recent generations? I’m mostly interested in terms of packing and pissing function, with aesthetic being secondary to those things.

Hey there, I’m saving up for a freetom prostethic the 4 in 1 7″ and I’m having trouble deciding what harness will keep it in place. Do you have any suggestions?

Hey there,

To be frank I’d avoid the freetom. It was just too large to do anything besides fuck with, for me anyway. Having a giant sausage in your pants becomes awkward and convenient for packing purposes.
But I found that using tight briefs gave me the best chances of actually being able to pack with it 🙂

I can’t believe I’ve been searching for the ‘right’ prosthetic for 10 years to no avail.
I often wonder if I should look into making myself what I desire. But I’m far too lazy for that, ha.

Do you have any advice on shopping for packers/STPs? I’m thinking about investing in a 3-in-1 type at some point, but I’m not sure where to look or what to consider investing in since many are expensive.

gendercube:

When it comes to packers and STP’s my recommendations for people would depend on a few factors. The questions that come to mind are usually: how realistic do you want it to be, how realistic do you want it to feel, what is your price range, what kind of bulge are you looking for, what sort of harness would you want, do you even want to have a harness, what kind of firmness are you looking for, does the STP need to be inside of a packer, and so on so forth. If a person needs help finding a specific product then I’d be glad to assist them, I’d just need those kinds of questions answered. For the most part I’ve read enough reviews on almost all of the products to see what issues people have with them as well and can take that into account when recommending products.

For general advice I can copy/paste some products from a list I made for ftmsextalk and you can browse through those to see if there’s anything you like in terms of the aesthetic and price of it. Establish a budget for yourself, make a list of desirable qualities (based on the questions above), make a list of things you’re willing to compromise on, and then explore these options:

Packers:
$12 – Mr. Limpy
$20 – Pack-it Packers
$20 – Masho
$24-28 – Sailor Soft Pack
$40 – Private Silicone Packer
$52 – Packman
$55 – Archer
$55 – Pierre
$60 – Mr. Right
$80 – ReelMagik Basic Packer
$100-400 – Like Real Prosthetics
$250-275 – Lola.Jake Products
$297-350 – Emisil Products
$500 – ReelMagik Prosthetics

STP Devices:
$10 – Go Girl STP
$12 – pStyle
$16 – Classic Fenis
$25 – Mr. Fenis
$50 – Fitz STP
$55 – Number One STP
$75 – Model D STP
$80 – Model A STP
$195-295 – Transthetics

3-in-1 Devices:
$159-179 – FreeToM Prosthetics
$179 – Peecock

Each device comes with it’s own unique set of advantages and disadvantages, therefore no product is inherently greater than another. They each have their place in this world and they are suited for different people. After you review these products to decide what you like based on appearance and price, I’d recommend looking up several (10+) reviews to see what others have to say. See what issues they have with it and if that’s something you would feel comfortable with. An important question to consider when looking at a product is how it looks when packing, as one could seem fine in a picture and end up very difficult to pack with (such as the FreeToM), so look for pictures of people packing with it as well. This could take a few hours, but you’re putting in a lot of work to find a product that will hopefully be perfect and make your life so much better. It’s really worth the work.

And a word of warning – “The Ultimate Prosthetic” is a site you might come across when looking for packers. This is a well known scam and many people have put hundreds of dollars into it and have never received their products. Steer clear of this and stay safe. This is why looking for multiple product reviews is so important.

This is a super thorough packing post.

TMD’s Prosthetic Review Master Post.

A while back I recieved a question asking me to review the plethora of prosthetics/packers I have used over the years.
I’ll give each a rating out of 10, with 10 being the better end of the spectrum.

Note: This is a work-in-progress; I can’t sit down and write all of the reviews at once. Thanks for your patience.

Homemade Condom/Gel Packer:
There’s a first time for everyone, and mine was right here. As far as I’m concerned this still feels much more realistic through underpants than some of the more pricier store-bought packers available. Not too much to say here; doesn’t look realistic, but feels good and you can choose what size you’re comfortable with.
4/10

Novelty Sticky Penis: This was, when I was very young, my first ever “bought” packer. It was sold as a novelty, and the texture and consistency is exactly that of those sticky slapper hands you had as a kid. I had to powder it every time so it wouldn’t stick to my harness, and it was actually bright pink – but it worked and made me happy at the time. I was underage, and did not have any way to order online. This sufficed, but I wouldn’t reccomend it. (Link to what I’m talking about)
3/10

Mr. Limpy: This was the first proper packer I bought. I probably can’t say much more than anyone else has; they’re affordable, pretty realistic and come in a few different sizes. I couldn’t use any but the “Extra Small” version without feeling like I had an uncooked sausage in my pants. Does the job well, and I still use this particular packer if I am going swimming or doing particularly acrobatic activities. It stays where I put it, and it’s too large to look obscene under tight clothing/swimwear. You can easily make homemade STPs out of these, too.
Cons: Lacks the realism some other prosthetics have, can often feel a bit too squishy, needs thorough cleaning and powdering so it doesn’t get sticky.
5/10.

MAN-GO: This was one of the first STP’s on the market which wasn’t simply a medicine spoon recipticle in a Mr. Limpy. What I really liked about this product was the recepticle; it was much smoother and easier to use than the medicine spoon I had been using prior. The packer itself was just a Mr. Limpy, although I purchased my MAN-GO when they first came out, so I can’t really comment on how they are now (or if they even exist?)
7/10

GV Sailor: This packer is probably the best in terms of realistic feel than most others as the core is a different density than the outer softer skin, giving it a realistic feel and weight. I never really used this packer much however, due to me not being able to find a comfortable way to pack with it. I was used to a smaller packer back then, and I think this was 4″ instead of 3.5″ that I was used to. It’s on par with the Mr. Limpy with regards to realism when looking at the prosthetic, however feel is far far better.
7/10

Peecock Generation 1: This, as it stands, is by far the best prosthetic I have had to date in terms of how it sits in my underpants, how it packs nicely without an obscene bulge and how easy it is for me to urinate with it. I forget I am wearing it. I never have to think about lining anatomy up, or accidentally messing myself. It also works well enough in bed for sexytimes, seeing as it’s a Pack, pee and play.
The cons with this particular product are the severe lack of realism; there aren’t as many little details on this prosthetic as there are on say, Mr. Limpy’s, but the ability for it to work so well in other areas surpasses this inconvenience for me. I also did not want to have a giant prosthetic for packing, so I opted for the smallest they had – which then made it a little too small for bedroom use.
8.5/10

Freetom 4-in-1: This has been thoroughly reviewed both in video and in pictoral format HERE and HERE.
7.5/10

I came across your post about whether or not you use a condom during sex with your FreeTom. Do you use latex condoms? Condoms that are pre-lubricated with silicone-based lubricants? On FreeTom’s site, it says that one should steer clear of latex condoms and those with silicone-based lubricants because it will “ruin the prosthetic.” Have you found this to be true? It is very hard to find non-latex, non-lubricated condoms haha.

Hi there.

I use latex based condoms that have water-based lubricant. That is completely safe for silicone toys – you want water based lube, not silicone – that will melt your shit really fast.

I have never heard of latex condoms with silicone lube, but if you can find condoms without lube just buy a small bottle of water based lubricant to go along with it.

So, all in all: latex condoms have been fine for me, just make sure they have WATER based lubricant, NOT silicone.
