John, please if you’re still here. Talk to one of us man. Please.
I have a few asks waiting to be answered – I’ll get to them ASAP on my day off.
I’ll get there!
I saw some post saying “5 + years on testosterone is not a good place to be”
Ugh, have you been on T for five years or more in order to have come to such a conclusion?
I’ve been on testosterone for 10 years this year. It’s a fantastic place to be.
It’s my birthday today or tomorrow. I don’t want to be too specific, so I’m not going to say exactly when.
I turn 28. I feel far older.
K begins 5th grade today.
He looks so grown up with his new haircut, backpack and uniform.
It’s killing me!
My little man is all grown up.
Have you legally change your gender? You know on your birth certificate? I’m a transman, I’m stealth and I haven’t legally changed any think cause I’m a little confused on what I need done. Any tips if you had done it. I’m also from NSW Australia. Also seeing you gives me hope that one day I’ll have a family of my own.
Yes, I have. It’s how I was able to legally get married.
If I recall correctly, NSW requires you to have proof of a surgical intervention. They require statutory declarations from your treating Doctor(s). I supplied every single medical document relating to my transition, as I too was apprehensive. This was likely overkill.
There’s information about this on the NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages website.
I hope this explained things enough. When I get home from work if you still need further infomation I will dig up the BD&M link.
I’m already on depo provera :) thanks for the advice!
No worries, but I didn’t really give you any advice haha. Good luck regardless.
My gender therapist suggested that maybe I could start with a low dose. Also I want to freeze my eggs when I’m older so he told me that’s probably the best thing to do.
I’d say listen to your therapist. They’re highly trained and know much more than myself regarding this topic. I’m not a therapist, just some random dude.
Freeze your eggs, maybe even go the hormone blocker route before a low dose even?
What advice would you give to a transguy who wants to start testosterone but he’s kinda scared incase he can’t cope with the changes? I’m 15,16 in august and I can start T after my 16th birthday.
Therapy. Honestly if you’re unsure in any way, a therapist will help you work through it. Or perhaps a councilor of some kind.
It’s a scary thing and you’ve got your entire life ahead of you. Just because you can legally begin T at 16, certainly does not mean you have to.
Good luck.
Do you think someone can “qualify ” as the trans medicalist/”truscum” definition of transgender without ever being intimate sexually due to feeling too uncomfortable to do so (whilst experiencing body dysphoria)? Or do you feel that someone needs to have physically experienced some sort of sexual encounter to coincide with the definition?
I certainly do not have any authority over who identifies as what. Nor would I ever want to.
