To that last anon with the injection issues – try using the Z-track method. Instead of just jabbing the needle straight in, pull the tissue to the side and hold it taut while you’re doing the injection. Once you pull the needle out, release it, and because of the angle you’ve created by pulling, the layers of tissue will sort of form a cap over the space you’ve created with the medication.

Ah, this is really good advice, injection anon.

This works for me about 50% of the time – I think it’s the build up of scar tissue which sometimes prevents it from working properly.

Please send positive vibes to our little family.
Last night we had to rush our beloved cat to the vet as she was bleeding from her rectum. It’s not looking too hopeful, and little K hasn’t stopped crying.
Cat slept on the foot of his bed every night and “took care of me” – in his words. 😢

Quick question – I’ve begun giving myself my shots, and I’ve grown very paranoid I’m “not doing it right”. I feel fine, and haven’t noticed any signs of skipping hormones, but due to the little bit of leakage I get, I keep worrying I’m not getting enough testosterone. Am I right to worry? (Pt1/2)

(Pt2) In addition to that, I keep worrying I’ve not gotten “into the muscle”. If I haven’t gotten quite into it, will I still get the effects
of testosterone, or is it wasted?

Your best bet if you’re quite concerned is to go and see a health professional and ask these questions. I can almost safely say that unless you are using an insulin needle, you are indeed getting into muscle and not “wasting” your Testosterone. However it should be noted that in certain circumstances, Testosterone can be administered subcutaneously (ie; not in the muscle).

A little bit of leakage is normal, you’ve stabbed an oily substance into your muscle and created a passage for it to leak out before it’s absorbed. It won’t absorb too quickly, as Testosterone is suspended in oil.

You should probably see a health professional if you’re still worried, at all.

hormones are really #1 priority – I should have been on them starting last June since that’s when I got my ~all important letter from my gender therapist~ but I would have gotten kicked out of my home if I started since my parents don’t think it’s the right choice for me and “think of how WE feel, losing a child in the way we are now!” My gf and I are about to move out this month so here’s hoping it can start soon though!!

That’s good you’re getting yourself out of an unsupportive environment.
I literally moved out of home when I began T as my parents were unsupportive at the time, and said almost exactly the same thing as you quoted.

It was the best thing I ever did. The next time I saw them, my voice had dropped, I was growing facial hair and they began to understand.

I can say though, since then they’ve come leaps and bounds. My parents are super proud of me and my Wife, Son. They love my little family as much as I do – and my relationship with them has never in my entire life (even when I was younger) been better than it is right now.

whats your favourite stp you’ve tried so far?

I’d say as far as ā€œnot needing to think about itā€ and packing is concerned, I prefer the Peecock over any other product I’ve tried.

I never had an issue peeing with it (it’s a Gen 1) and I don’t need to think, or stand awakwardly to use it at a urinal. It feels natural..ish.

But I hate the lack of realism, perhaps the new gen peecock will rectify that disparity.

I’m looking for pretty much the same thing you’re looking for – something easy to pack with and use in the bathroom. I’m good for in the bedroom for the most part. I’ve bought so many binders that have ended up being a waste of money as well, so seeing how much decent STPs go for is almost making me rethink any attempt to do anything until I can make hormones a reality since those take priority over everything else transition related.

I remember feeling this way. I recall having to make the exact same “choice” as you RE: packer versus other transition related things, and I put Testosterone and Surgery at the forefront. I can’t tell you how much easier things fell into place after I began T, mentally speaking.

I’m here for you, but unfortunately I don’t have any direct advice.

I see so many STP packers out there and the good ones are ~$200. That’s almost a full months rent for me, and it’s so discouraging. I feel like I’m never going to be able to pack properly and comfortably and it’s making everything so difficult to handle.

I can really relate.
I am in a much better financial situation now than I have been in the past due to steady employment, but being a Father means regardless, you put your child first.

What I think is useful here are reviews: in depth, detailed as hell pictoral and video reviews of products, perhaps even compiled into one place. I’ve thought about doing it myself, but I don’t have the time nor the funds.

For what it’s worth: I have bought over 10 different prosthetics (some STP, some just packers, some play) in my time, and a vast majority have been a waste of money.

What are you looking for in an STP, exactly?

look up transthetics the real ezp if you haven’t looked at it before

I’ve seen it, and to be honest it looks super promising. That’s an understatement – I really, really, really want one.

What I don’t like however is the hefty price tag. I’m so dissatisfied with the majority of STP’s out there, that I can’t risk such a large sum of money on a ā€œwhat ifā€ right now.

Perhaps when I’ve sorted this whole needing-a-new-car thing out.

What’s your workout routine? (or what was your workout routine in the tag ‘goal again’) Did/do you follow a special diet?

Back then, I had a gym membership. There isn’t a gym here, so my routine is different yet still somewhat similar.
I do 3 x workouts/week, minumum. Typically a major muscle group rotation followed by at least 30 minutes cardio. I also try and stick at least another seperate cardio session somewhere throughout the week.

As far as diet is concerned; nothing special here. I just count calories, get enough protien and I’m trying to be better about drinking more water. I really like coffee. I don’t like to eat too many processed foods; I kind of like what I buy to resemble something I could (or do) grow myself, then make food from combined ingredients.
