Hi! I just found your blog after watching your review of the 4in1 prosthetic from FreeToM. In the review you said that you had figured out a harness situation that worked for you. You mentioned that you might post about it on your blog, but I was unable to find a post about it. I was hoping you might expound on your discovery. Thank you!

I had two questions about this, one Anon and one not – so I’ve chosen to answer the Anon one in case the other was meant for private conversation.

So the best possible way I have found to wrangle the FreeTom is; a snug pair of briefs with a fly hole… the one you can poke your dick through. Put the prosthesis against yourself, slip the shaft through the snug briefs hole and then put your regular underwear over the top. I know it’s not ideal because there’s two pairs of jocks – but it’s the “safest” and most discreet way I’ve found to pack with the FreeTom that still allows STP function. In fact, I find when I do this I don’t actually have to hold the prosthesis to me when I pee – the snug underpants do the job just fine. Adjustments may be had throughout the day if it slips a little – but bio guys have to adjust thier junk too.

So, I’ve recently heard about natural transitioning. I don’t quite understand the concept of this, and I was hoping that you could help further explain this. Also, I really appreciate this blog. It’s such a great resource, and I’ve learned a great deal from you. Thanks!

gendercube:

“Natural transitioning” is a myth and a very dangerous one at that. It’s aimed at people who do not have access to testosterone and thrives off of the desperation that they feel for changes. Therefore it’s extremely important to emphasis the following points:
– Natural transitioning does not work
– Natural transitioning often leads to liver and/or kidney damage
– Natural transitioning often boosts your estrogen levels
– Natural transitioning is more expensive than testosterone

“Natural transitioning” is the idea that through the use of exercise and a variety of daily supplements (10+) one can achieve masculinization effects similar to testosterone. There is no scientific basis behind this and when you break down the effects of each supplement you begin to see a discrepancy between what natural transitioning claims to do and what the supplements actually do.

For example, one of the main supplements involved in this process is DHEA. DHEA is a precursor to testosterone and estrogen. Precursors are converted into one
of the sex hormones and this conversion is based on the dominant hormone the body creates. In trans men that hormone is estrogen, therefore the main supplement used in natural transitioning is one that is converted into estrogen. On the off chance that the combination of supplements and exercise do increase your testosterone levels, it won’t be by a substantial amount. Bodies work off of a process called homeostasis that helps to ensure we maintain stability in all of our functions. If your testosterone is raised slightly too high then your body will read this as an imbalance and then your body will work on correcting it so that it achieves balance/homeostasis. Therefore your body will convert the excess testosterone into estrogen through aromatization, once again simply increasing your estrogen levels and putting your liver through a lot of stress while doing so (from having to break down these supplements). One person reported that after attempting natural transitioning their testosterone levels were 57.6 ng/dl – well below the healthy male range of 300ng/dl and well within the healthy female range of 15-70 ng/dl.

The exercise component of natural transitioning does have some logical basis behind it. Through exercise you can achieve a more masculine shaped body, I won’t argue that, but that is it. It won’t cause your voice to change, it won’t cause body hair to appear, it simply won’t mimic the effects of testosterone. Nor will the supplements you are told to take. If there were ways to transition that didn’t involve seeing a doctor and having a prescription written then why would any of us go through that process? There are ways to help change your body and help you pass more pre-T, but loading up on 10+ supplements a day will not help and will only work to damage your body and waste money that could be put towards saving for testosterone or surgery.

To spare repeating information, for more specific information on the dangers of natural transitioning I’d high encourage people to look at this link and read all of the posts there.

Sorry I you’ve answered this a million times, but I can’t find it on your page…Which top surgery did you get? (your chest looks great!)

I know I have answered this before, but upon checking my FAQ’s I couldn’t find it either. Apologies for that.

I had a double incision without nipple grafts. My nipples were removed entirely in the first surgery, and my incisions left to heal.
Once the initial surgery was healed, my surgeon then surgically created new nipples from my skin, while I was under twilight sedation. This was actually amazing to watch, something from nothing.
Once the nipples themselves were healed, I then had my areola and pigmentation of the nipples cosmetically tattooed on.

This way, I got to choose the exact size, color and location of my nipples entirely and my surgeon did not have to focus on anything other than achieving the best possible male contour for my chest. It is the procedure my surgeon reccomended, although they do the “traditional” nipple graft variation alongside peri-areola also.

As an aside, this question is now in my FAQ page located here.

Thanks man for the advice! I played some walking dead and some battlefield and it definitely helped! I’m trying to go to a trans support group, my friend offered to take me, the only problem is that I’m really worried of my transphobic parents finding out. They don’t support me being trans and they very much dislike this friend for supporting me being trans. I just can’t figure out any good lie for this friend to be giving me a ride somewhere from 7-10 pm. I’m 16 and she’s 23, so… any ideas?

Hrm, that is a tough one.

If I were your parent I’d be not so keen on the age difference, unless you told me specifically what it was for. However since your situation doesn’t allow for that – I’m going to open this one up to my followers for some help.

Maybe you could say she’s your friend’s sister and she’s driving you and your friend to the movies and back?

Anyone have any ideas?

I’ve cleaned as much as I’d like to for today.

I have to go and pick K up from school in about 20 minutes, and I’m going to take him to the local electronics/video game/toy store (combined, lol) on the way home if he’d like.

My Wife left us “easy” meals for while she’s away, so we’re having hot dogs for dinner tonight and I already feel lazy for it. Ha. K will be so happy, I can’t even remember the last time we had hot dogs.

Tomorrow morning we’ll get up before it becomes too warm and go on a walk/bike adventure to the woods right near our house with the dog. I’m going to pack some snacks and juice boxes, perhaps a blanket so when we walk and ride as far as he wants we can sit and relax before the trek home.

Just the boys this weekend, and the animals. It’s bloody stupid but I already miss my Wife something shocking.
After K is asleep, I’m going to have a few quiet beers or 5.
