Organized Sport.

K is an indoorsy type of kid, and for the most part we’ve allowed that to happen because it’s simply his personality. He had a brief stint in hockey which we encouraged with gusto but it just wasn’t his thing. He takes regular Drum lessons, does Chior with school and has done dancing in the past, though.

He recently came home from school very excited at the prospect of playing basketball for a local team comprised of his school mates. We jumped at this and paid the fairly expensive registration, team and uniform fees because hey – it’s an organized sport and he’s taken an interest.

I’m excited about going to his first training session this Thursday.

How to Shave with a Saftey Razor – by Mantic59 on Youtube.

He has an exceptional series dedicated to Wet Shaving on youtube which details how and why wet shaving is better for your beard and skin. I have been shaving this way for a few years now and not only is it more economical but it’s also caused my skin much less irritation and ingrown hairs. I now find shaving a relaxing experience.

To those of you who are concerned about superficial things such as baldness, weight or getting “ugly” because of starting Testosterone;

I am almost completely bald, but I’d rather be bald that dead.
If I didn’t transition I would have killed myself.

If you are debating whether or not to go on T because of superficial reasons, you probably don’t need hormones/aren’t trans.

World’s Simplest Packy Harness

I’ve used this harness for years, and I have yet to come across something better in terms of security, simplicity and generally not being able to notice you’re wearing a harness.

I was eternally skeptical, however even the ol’ “boxer brief band with O-ring” is not as secure as this has proven to be for me.

Clear elastic is easily sourced, although I’ve made it with all different types of elastic and it’s still great.

What I especially love about this harness is that it allows one to use an STP easily due to the elastic having a lot of give to move things where you need them to be.

World’s Simplest Packy Harness

K’s first piece of Third Grade work he brought home on his first day back. This was obviously revision from Second Grade, and he adores Math.
I was most impressed with his cutting and pasting, funnily enough. K usually doesn’t take much time with making sure things are neat – and it is obvious he tried to make this work as neat as he could.
